For the Los Angeles 2024 edition, I worked closely with SIZED founder Alexander May on the retail and marketing strategy to amplify the creative project as a ticketed exhibition and seamlessly commercialized art experience. Throughout the collaboration, designer Willo Perron conceived a bespoke 65-foot communal table and 80 limited edition, transparent chairs for USM Modular Furniture. The work served as a visual anchor from which to explore the surrounding collection of cars by Damon Jones which offered a sculptural interpretation of LA’s car culture. Each evening, the installation transformed into an immersive nocturnal dining experience with culinary collective We Are Ona. Expanding perceptions of shape and function, the all-black fleet, veiled in silk fabric to accentuate each vehicle’s silhouette, set the stage for a series of curated dinners which sold out each night of the week. I produced and merchandised the product assortment with these partners which involved custom SIZED merchandise, home furnishings from USM, a bespoke vase by Willo Perron, and a new book by curator Hans Ulrich Obrist. All items were sold and distributed via my team at Basic.Space to optimize sales and customer retention.
